Aaron G. Norris
Aaron Norris is the newest addition to Chris Mahre and Associates, P.C.. Before joining our law firm, Aaron spent several years as a prosecutor with the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office. As a Deputy District Attorney, he handled misdemeanor and felony cases. Upon joining Chris Mahre & Associates, P.C., Aaron has expanded his practice to include immigration, probate protective person’s proceedings and family matters in addition to his emphasis on criminal defense. Since taking up defense work, he has handled a varied case load of misdemeanor, felony and traffic cases. Aaron is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Mesa County Bar Association and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar.
Before moving to Grand Junction, Aaron worked in Denver, for both the Rocky Mountain Survivor’s Center and the Asylum and Refugee Rights Project. He has worked with the Public Interest Law Initiative in Sarajevo, BiH researching Rule-of-Law and Access to Justice Issues in the Balkans.
Aaron brings an extensive and varied experience to the table. He has spent several years abroad in third world countries and has travelled extensively in Europe and Africa. Before pursuing his career in law, Aaron served in the United States Peace Corps in Mali from 1999-2001.
Aaron received his undergraduate degree from University of Colorado at Boulder in 1996. In 2005, Aaron graduated with a J.D. and M.A. from the University of Denver, attending both the Sturm College of Law and the Graduate School of International Studies.
