Brandy Elliss
Brandy is a Colorado native and grew up in Mancos near the Four Corners. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a concentration in Counseling Psychology and a minor in Sociology from Mesa State College in 2000. Brandy then received her Juris Doctorate in 2003 from the University of Nebraska, College of Law.
Following her graduation from Law School, Brandy and her husband moved to Austin Texas, where she became a licensed attorney in the fall of 2003. During that same time, she became a new mom and chose to stay home with her first son. In early 2005 Brandy and her family moved back to Colorado to help with a church plant in the Denver area. She then obtained her Colorado Legal License.
In 2006, Brandy began working as a Weld County Deputy District Attorney for the 19th Judicial District in Greeley, Colorado. Her family then moved back to the Grand Junction area and she continued her work for several years as a Mesa County Deputy District Attorney. As a Deputy District Attorney, Brandy prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony level cases. However, most of her career as a prosecutor was spent handling the juvenile criminal docket. Brandy felt it was important to help get the kids back on track through services, education, and appropriate consequences so that they could avoid making similar mistakes as adults.
Brandy is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Mesa County Bar Association. She is focusing her current legal practice on providing legal services for Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate. Brandy is dedicated to giving her clients competent and compassionate assistance in planning for their futures and the future of their loved one's.
